-
Cut
a piece of metal slightly larger than your stamp.
-
Stamp
the design on the metal with Memories black ink. Heat
Set.
-
Place
the metal stamped side up onto a padded surface.
-
Use
your embossing stylus to outline the image with the larger
end.
-
Use
the smaller end of the stylus on the inner detail lines.
-
Add
textured or "hammered" finish by tapping, dotting or crosshatching
on the area outside the image. The more you hammer, the
better the
beaten look will turn out.
-
Turn
the image face down and carefully rub the inside portions
of the image to make it stand out. Use your stylus, or
a rounded wooden stick or Q-tip.
-
Cut
out the image, leaving a hammered border surrounding it.
-
Finishing:
Color the metal with pigment pens. Heat set.
Embossing powder can be used before or after your
stylus work.
Sponge and rub with a Memories black ink to give
a weathered look.
-
Mount
on card. Works well between a window cut on the front
of the card
and a liner which covers the sharp edges.
