Mini
Gift Bag
This little mini bag can be a real treat. Construct bag from tip
below and stamp
and color a Halloween design to attach to the front of the bag.
Include a little treat inside the bag. View
Halloween Stamps
Use the following tip below, but reduce the dimensions to make
a "mini bag"<
Using a 5-1/2"
x 8-1/2" piece of decorative paper, score a line ¼ inch from
right edge. Fold in towards center.
Apply glue stick to this flap. Roll the left side over like a
tube, press behind the flap all the way to the crease. Glue in
place. (See Fig. 1)
Do
not fold left edge. Allow glue to dry. Roll the "tube"
so that the seam faces you. Flatten with crease opened and crease
tube down flat on both sides. (See Fig. 2)
Cut
a decorative edge on the top edge. Cut a wedge along the top layer
only of the bottom edge. (See Fig. 2a)
Apply
glue stick to the extension from the bottom layer. Fold up over
the cut wedge and press in place. Leave the bag as is for a packet
style bag.
For
a dimensional bag like a miniature grocery bag, score ¾"
from sides and bottom as in Figure 3. Add triangular scores at
bottom edge. Fold both ways on scored lines for flexibility. Gently
open the bag and flatten the bottom. The two triangular flaps
on the bottom will fold toward the center. Secure them with tape.
