Look
what happens when bleach is applied to dark colored paper.
Dish
Washer Detergent:
apply a thin layer of dish washer detergent (not
dish detergent) to a stamp - use your finger or a disposable
foam brush; stamp onto dark, non-coated cardstock. Allow
to dry naturally, or, if you aren't patient, heat with heat
gun for surprising results.

Examples of Stamping with Dish Washer Detergent or Liquid
Bleach
Liquid
Bleach:
fold several layers of paper toweling, place in a
flat bottomed container. Spray or pour liquid bleach (not
diluted) onto the paper towels just until saturated; tap
stamp lightly onto the paper towels, then onto paper.
pour liquid bleach into a spray bottle; place paper into
box for spray control - this gives great backgrounds.
stamp onto dark cardstock, emboss with black powder. Using
a natural bristle brush, color the interior of the stamped
image with liquid bleach - voila, a light image on a dark
background.

Cleaning
Up:
Use plain water and clean thoroughly. With dishwasher
detergent, it may be helpful to scrub with an old toothbrush
to clean crevasses. If desired, stamp onto clear or tinted
embossing pad and the glycerine in the pad will remoisturize
your stamp. |
