The Snowflake was stamped on a vellum panel with black pigment ink and heat embossed with black powder. The design was colored in from the back with colored pencils and sponged with various pigment inks. The design was then stamped on the front panel of a burgundy greeting card and cut out with a craft knife. The colored vellum piece was then mounted behind the cut out window. An additional burgundy panel was mounted behind the vellum.
