Fold back the first section of the trifold card. (Mountain
fold). On this section (actually the back side of the first
panel), stamp the bass and Catch Ya Later phrase, positioning
the bass so that the edge of the mouth lines up with the fold.
Carefully cut away the section of this panel above the design,
from the mouth area where it meets the fold to the left edge.
Color the design with chalk and/or watercolor pencil, highlighting
the fish with silver gel pen and silver metallic rub-ons.
With
the first section folded back, plan and stamp the fishing
scene onto the back of the center panel of the trifold card
so that most of it can be seen behind the Bass section. Color
the design with chalk and markers, creating brighter color
tones to stand out from the front panel. Cut away the section
between the boys fish line and the grandpas pole;
and the section between the grandpas fish line and the
edge. Fold the two front panels over the back panel. (Valley
fold)
Now open your card. Stamp the fish background onto both sides
of the inside of the card in one of two ways:
- Using
a stamp alignment tool, stamp the background using a light
shade of blue ink, such as Memories Soft Stone; or
- Stamp
the background design with a watermark ink, such as Perfect
Medium, and gently brush light blue chalk or powdered pigment
(Perfect Pearls) over it. Dust off the residue with a soft
tissue or brush.
Stamp
a phrase in place, such as Happy Birthday and Best Fishes
or Feeling Crappie?
